Apps > Word to PDF Converter > Help Manual

First make sure your phone is connected to the internet and that you have granted file access permissions to this app.

Choose File

Tap the "Choose File" button to open the file chooser, choose a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file on your phone. The file extension name can be DOC, DOCX, RTF, TXT, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, etc. It also supports other file formats such as HTML, OpenDocument, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, PUB, JPG, PNG, or GIF. The file size can be up to 40MB.

The conversion algorithm used on the Windows server differs from the conversion algorithm used on the Linux server. Try the Windows server if you dislike the results from the Linux server. Results on the Windows server may or may not be better.

The "Choose File" button does not respond on Android 4.4, so the app shows "Alternative Converter" if you are using Android 4.4.

Convert File

Tap the "Convert Now" button to start the conversion. It usually takes only a few seconds to complete. If the conversion fails, try another server or wait a few minutes and try again.

Output File

Word to PDF Converter will list the output PDF file once the conversion is complete. Tap the output PDF file to open it with the default PDF reader app on your phone.

If you have installed the Adobe Acrobat app on your phone, the Adobe Acrobat app will download the online PDF file to the "Adobe Acrobat" directory (usually located at "/storage/emulated/0/Download/Adobe Acrobat/") and open it after downloading. Other apps, such as Google Chrome, may download the output PDF file to the "Download" directory (usually located at "/storage/emulated/0/Download/").

Your file will be automatically deleted on our servers after an hour, so please download it to your phone as soon as possible.

Alternative Converter

The conversion is simple but each step may go wrong on some Android versions. For example: no response when tapping the "Choose File" button, failing to connect to online server, failing to upload or download files.

Therefore, we created the "Alternative Converter" which uses different server, file chooser, uploader, and downloader. Try the "Alternative Converter" if the default converter doesn't work.

OCR Converter

Tap the "OCR Converter" menu to start the OCR Converter. The OCR Converter can recognize text and characters from scanned documents (including multipage files), photographs and digital camera captured images.

Tap the "Choose File" button to choose a scanned PDF document or JPG, PNG, BMP, TIFF image, choose the language and output format, then tap the "Convert Now" button to start the conversion.

Please note that the OCR Converter is for scanned documents or images only. Use the default converter if your file is editable Word document or searchable PDF document.
