Where is the output file saved?

On Android 11 or newer versions, the output PDF file is saved in the "Video", "Audio", "GIF" or "Media" sub-folder in the Download folder by default. It's usually displayed as "/storage/emulated/0/Download/Video/", "/storage/emulated/0/Download/Audio/", "/storage/emulated/0/Download/GIF/" or "/storage/emulated/0/Download/Media/". On Android 10 or earlier versions, the output PDF file is saved in the "Video", "Audio", "GIF" or "Media" folder in external storage by default. It's usually displayed as "/storage/emulated/0/Video/", "/storage/emulated/0/Audio/", "/storage/emulated/0/GIF/" or "/storage/emulated/0/Meida/". You can change the output folder: Tap the "Settings" menu, tap "Output Folder" and enter your folder name.

The situation is complicated because the app needs to be compatible with both legacy storage and scoped storage. The old output files may not be shown in the app if your app version or Android version is upgraded. If this happens, you can use a file explorer app to open the specific folder to find old output files.

Android version "Video", "Audio", "GIF" or "Media" sub-folder in Download folder "Video", "Audio", "GIF" or "Media" folder in external storage
Android 4.4 - 10 /storage/emulated/0/Video/
/storage/emulated/0/Audio/
/storage/emulated/0/GIF/
/storage/emulated/0/Media/
Android 11 + /storage/emulated/0/Download/Video/
/storage/emulated/0/Download/Audio/
/storage/emulated/0/Download/GIF/
/storage/emulated/0/Download/Media/

Should I grant file access permissions to the app?

File access permissions must be granted on Android 10 or earlier versions. No file access permissions are required on Android 11 or later versions.

Tap "Allow" when a notification is popped up to ask for permission like "Allow Video Converter to access photos, media, and files on your device?". The app may not show the notification again if the permission was rejected twice on some phones. If this happens, you can change permissions in your phone's Settings. Here are steps: 1) Open the "Settings" app. 2) Tap "Apps & notifications". 3) Tap the "Video Converter" app. 4) Tap "Permissions". 5) Tap "Files and media". 6) Tap "Allow management of all files".

How can I choose all files in a folder?

Tap the "FOLDER" button, select the folder and tap the "USE THIS FOLDER" button. It will add all supported video/audio formats in this folder to the conversion queue. Please note on Android 11 and higher, you cannot choose the following directories: the root directory of the internal storage volume, the root directory of each SD card volume, the Download directory, the /Android/data/ directory and the /Android/obb/ directory.

How can I get detailed information of video/audio file?

Upgrade your Video/Audio Converter app to the latest version if you are using version earlier than 3.1. Tap the "LIST" button, find the video/audio file you want to get detailed information, PULL IT TO THE LEFT, then tap on the "information" icon on the right. It will show media information such as duration, metadata, bitrate or frame rate.

Can I run conversion in the background?

Yes, tapping the Android "Home" button will put the app running in the background. However, the conversion speed is much slower in the background than in the foreground. This is controlled by the Android system, we can't do anything about it.

How can I send output video/audio files to others?

Tap the "Output Files" menu, tap on the file you want to send, then tap on the "Share File" pop menu, choose an app such as Gmail, WhatsApp or Facebook to send the file.

Does your online converter have the same conversion result as the app?

The app uses the same conversion engine that our online converter uses. The conversion results are the same for converting the same video/audio files. Unlike offline conversion, online conversion doesn't occupy your phone's CPU.
